WHAT TEACHERS SAY
ABOUT NIE:
“The stack of Hartford Courants on the table is an automatic "hook" when the students arrive in the morning. They are becoming more aware of what is going on in their world, and they know that the newspaper will get them up-to-date on their individual interests.”

Bill Dwan, Dwan.pdf Thomaston Center School, Thomaston

“What better way for students to make authentic connections to their world than to use up-to-date news found in The Hartford Courant.”

Pamela Keagan, Keagan.pdf Cherry Brook Primary School, Canton

“Newspapers provide realistic contexts for student to practice applying academic skills to problem solving. They also serve a living textbook that can be marked, cut, glued, colored and recycled.”

Colleen Brede, Gildersleeve School, Portland
