When, Where and How are newspapers delivered?
"Sometimes I can't find mine". . .
Newspapers are delivered between 2 am and 6 am. They are usually left outside of the school's main entrance. If your newspapers are not at the school when you arrive, call us at 860 525-5555 before 10 am and we will deliver the papers.
Before calling us, please ask the office staff, custodian and other teachers if they have seen the newspapers or moved them by mistake. Also recheck your calendar to be sure you have newspapers arriving that day.
Sheets with the names of teachers receiving papers that day and with the number of newspapers each teacher should receive will be left with the newspaper bundles. To ensure that you receive/take the correct number of newspapers, look for the sheet with your name.
Newspapers are delivered in several bundles (depending on the day of the week). The pre-run sections (Life, Flavor, Cal, special sections, etc. are one bundle) and the live sections (Main news, Connecticut, Sports...) are another bundle. Please make sure that you have all sections! In preparation for each day's newspaper activities, have your students collate the newspapers. Each special program is aimed at specific grade levels and/or subject areas.
