Engage students In lively discussion, inquiry and independent research!

Use this high-interest, year-long program to globalize students as they investigate significant national and international cities- Reykjavic, New Orleans, Istanbul, Havana, Abuja, Beijing and more.

As the U.S. population becomes more diverse and our government becomes involved with national and international cities, students should gain exposure to and make connections with vibrant geographic areas that appear in the media as well as their texts.

All New Design includes mapping exercise and a clue to guess the next city profiled.

ORDER AND RECEIVE:
  • Classroom set of 25 eCourants/print copies on 17 Thursdays, each containing 1/2 page of engaging information on a specific city, plus student activities.
  • Map of the Americas and Poster (limited quantities)
  • Blank world map.

This discussion-based program is offered by NIE in collaboration with Connecticut Geographic Alliance and Yale's PIER (Programs In International Educational Resources).
