WHAT IS NIE?
The Hartford Courant’s NIE program:

provides newspapers - print or the electronic edition - to schools

offers curriculum materials

helps teachers develop newspaper use for student learning in a variety of subject and grade levels.

Teachers can order:

a classroom subscription - print or the electronic edition - on any day for as many days as they wish (minimum order of 10 newspapers). Print editions are available for just 35 cents per copy and electronic editions are sponsored and available at NO cost.

one or several of NIE's special programs.
